At Door-Stop we don't make anything else

Door-Stop have been a pioneer in the composite door industry since 2008, setting standards in quality and innovation. Unlike some other manufacturers we were the first company solely dedicated to crafting composite doors - we’ve never made anything else

This laser focus allowed us to revolutionise the industry, introducing innovations like reglazeable cassettes, colour-matched weather bars and providing Energy Rating certificates before they were mandatory

Today as part of the Masonite Group, our legacy of customer satisfaction endures, carrying forward our extensive experience and unwavering commitment to excellence

DoorStop Composite Doors Low Aluminium Threshold

Exitex MDS25 - the stronger lower level threshold

This new threshold option, which is available on all door-stop standard and FD30 doors, is wider than the current door-stop threshold at 115mm and provides greater flexibility when it comes to installation

In addition to the wider size, the MDS25 is Part M compliant for the smoother transition of wheelchairs and has EPDM rubber seals for a robust solution that lasts

The MDS25 also has improved weather performance due to a compression rebate seal (tested on numerous occasions to 150Pa air and water) and superior thermal efficiency because of an improved thermal break

Satin Glass

Added to our ‘patterned glass’ range, satin glass makes a perfect option for modern properties.

Solid Grids

Our two-panel, one-grid door designs feature a solid internal grid. This means that when your eye glances across the glazed panel, you don’t see the inside of a glazing cassette – you see the effect that you would get if the door had nine separate pieces of glass

Don't Replace - Reglaze

Our replaceable cassette system means that in the event of breakage, or if your glass unit breaks down and becomes misty, you can simply and easily change the glass without replacing the door

DoorStop Composite Doors Ultion Secure Guarantee

Activate your guarantee together for free at www.door-stop-doors.co.uk - only available when you select Ultion at point of purchase

Slam Lock

DoorStop Composite Doors Slam Lock

The 'Slam Lock' option changes the way that doors work. In the past, the hooks on doors with multipoint locks engage by having to lift the handle. With a Slam Lock, the hooks engage the moment the door is closed

This gives you the peace of mind that if the door is closed, the hooks are engaged. To bolt the door from the inside the user simply turns the key. From the outside, the handle is fixed and the door hooks open by turning the key

All of Door-Stop’s doors exceed the current Building Regulations for energy efficiency

Bespoke Energy Rated Doors

Every Door-Stop door is issued with a bespoke energy rating certificate – based on expert data from the Build Research Establishment and  accredited by the British  Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC)

We have always used a calcium zinc-based compound in the extrusion of the door frame, because it’s much kinder to the planet than lead-based additives

Reducing our carbon footprint

Door-Stop doors are made right here in the UK, with carefully planned delivery routes to cut down the amount of fuel we use

The combination of a reliably strong structural frame and the very highest quality locking systems, make our doors simply unrivalled in terms of the security and peace of mind they offer

DoorStop Composite Doors Environmentally Friendly

Green Doors, now available in all colours

We’ve always been ahead when it comes to taking responsibility for the planet

From day one we chose to use a calcium zinc based compound in the extrusion of the door frame (which we make in different lengths to avoid waste) because it’s much kinder to the planet than lead based additives

The door’s inner rigid foam system is completely, utterly, one hundred percent CFC-free

DoorStop Composite Doors Energy Rated

Energy rating certificates

An energy-efficient home is a major concern for many modern homeowners. As such, door-stop was proud to supply the first ever energy rated door and the first ‘A’ energy rated door

New energy regulations for doors mean all door manufacturers and resellers will have to prove compliance. A generic certificate for certain door 'types' is unlikely to suffice

Using a calculation method verified by the Building Research Establishment and BFRC door-stop’s energy rated doors come with a unique energy rating certificate, delivered immediately at the point of order

This is not a type test or a dubious assurance that gives all doors the same U-value. It is tailored for each particular door configuration

DoorStop Composite Doors Energy Efficiency

Energy efficient doors

All of Door-Stop’s doors exceed the current Building Regulations for energy efficiency, which came into force in October 2010, covering front doors for the first time. Under the legislation, all new doors sold and fitted in England and Wales must have a U-value of 1.8W/m2K (1.6W/m2K in Scotland) or less. The door’s U-value is a measure of its energy efficiency, and the lower the U-value, the more energy efficient the door.

Choosing thermal glass on DoorStop doors makes them even more energy efficient, with an ultimate U-value of just 1 W/m2K.

Many manufacturers of doors made of timber, aluminium or PVC panels may struggle to meet the 1.8W/m2K requirement and many do not provide proof

DoorStop Composite Doors Carbon Footprint

Carbon Footprint

And we’ve taken big steps to reduce our own carbon footprint too. DoorStop doors are made right here in the UK, unlike the products of other door companies. And we carefully plan and all our delivery routes to cut down the amount of fuel we use

Other manufacturers look at our doors and go green with envy - we’re just greener
