| CONSERVATORIES> ROOF GLAZING> Celsius High Performance Glass
| Celsius Performance Glass – a whole new concept in glazing In keeping with our commitment to continued innovation, HERONHURST has introduced a stunning new range of ‘coated’ smart glass that’s perfect for use in conservatory roofs. Glass that keeps homes cool in summer and warm in winter, whilst offering other benefits such as minimal maintenance, ease of cleaning and much more besides.
Impressive technological features combined with a subtle blue tint in the glass helps ensure that unwanted glare is kept to a minimum allowing for all year round enjoyment of the conservatory. Other features mean heat from inside the home is reflected back into the property, whilst excessive solar heat is deflected away. Celsius is one of the few glazings on the market to offer this unique combination of heat reflection and thermal insulation | | Visible Light Transmittance This is the percentage of visible light directly transmitted through the glass.
Solar Factor This is the percentage of total solar energy (or heat from the sun) able to pass through the glass.
U-Value This is used to measure internal heat loss during cooler periods. The lower the number, the greater the insulation.
UV Transmission Sun damaging UV rays are dramatically reduced, allowing greater protection of your furniture and fabrics. | | | | | | | | We're listed in the UKs top Conservatory Companies as published by Plimsoll Publishing Limited - making your choice a popular one for quality, durability, style and value |

| | Heat reflection Our unique solar coating reflects around 72% of total solar energy. This is nearly three times that of standard glass. The micro-coating applied to Celsius gives it a solar factor of 28%. Its ability to reflect so much solar heat can prevent conservatories from overheating during hot weather - or up to 74% with Celsius Plus | Thermal insulation In an age when energy efficiency is paramount our product outperforms standard glass units by 50%, thereby reducing potentially expensive heating bills. A unique micro-coating is applied to Celsius, which ensures heat from inside the home if reflected back into the property rather than lost through the glazing. Thanks to this feature, Celsius has a U-value of just 1.4u - or just 1.2u with Celsius Plus | | | Glare reduction Celsius glass reduced glare by 44% all year round compared to a standard double glazed unit. The subtle blue tint applied to the glass gives a visible light transmittance of 45% and reduces the uncomfortable glare that can occur with ordinary glass products. At the same time, it still allows sufficient light through for the conservatory to be enjoyed on duller days. These benefits increase to 49% glare reduction with Celsius Plus | Sound Reduction A further impressive benefit of Celsius is its ability to significantly reduce the impact of outside noise levels. A Celsius glazed roof offers twice the sound insulation of a typical 25mm glazed polycarbonate roof | | | Easy Clean Celsius is treated with a unique ‘easy clean’ coating. This enables rainwater to run off the glass taking most dirt and grime with it. In this way, it reduces the build up of unsightly deposits and in turn, the need for regular manual cleaningWhat does it mean for my conservatory?
* Stays cleaner longer because it keeps dirt and other contaminates from bonding to it
* Is easier to maintain because it requires less cleaning
* Does not support adhesion or growth of bacteria ... for a more hygienic environment
* Protects the surface from organic and inorganic contamination.
* Resists staining from hard water deposits whilst maintaining a pristine appearance.
* Eliminates the need for harsh or abrasive cleaning products. | | | | | | | | | |
