Plans for 2006 "I am currently developing Africaid’s next project, which will hopefully be the biggest Africaid programme to date. Unfortunately, because I believe it to be such a good idea, I can’t write any more until it’s up and running, otherwise someone will pinch the idea!
"Get set we're going back to Ghana! Welcome Emma, Ray, Al and Maria. Emma manages Heronhurst windows and doors limited, a company based in Abergavenny, South Wales. Following an article in the South Wales Argos about Africaid’s nomination for a Beacon Fellowship Award, Emma contacted me and asked how her company might help Africaid.
"The plan is to visit Ghana in January/February and return to Jisonayili. We’d very much like to review the clinic and also build a porch to front the entire length of the clinic. Heronhurst are keen to raise the money for the porch and then come and build it with the ever faithful support of the community. Our main man in Jisonayili - Mohamed, continues to do all the outreach on behalf of Africaid for the clinic. Thanks to Heronhurst, Mohamed’s dream of a motorbike to help him reach outlying communities may soon come true!
"We very much welcome Heronhurst and thank them for choosing Africaid as their nominated charity. Having met Emma, Ray, Al and Maria recently in South Wales, and enjoyed their fine hospitality I look forward to a very fruitful long term venture together" If you would like to know more, or perhaps make a donation (however small or large!) please contact Emma on FREECall 0800 525966 or email charity@heronhurst.co.uk | |
